In recent years, with the shift in consumer demands and expectations, e-commerce and digital marketing have rapidly evolved. Social media platforms like Facebook have become key tools for advertising products and services. As a result, setting up a Facebook ad account has become a topic of interest for many businesses and individuals.
To create a Facebook ad account, you first need to have a Facebook Business Manager account, as all ad accounts must be created through it. In today’s globalized and internet-driven world, distance is no longer a barrier—businesses can easily reach customers across the globe.
With advancements in technology and internet accessibility, online advertising options have also expanded significantly. Facebook Business Manager is now one of the most important tools in this field, enabling you to manage multiple ad operations from a single panel.
How to Create a Facebook Ad Account
Follow these steps to create your Facebook ad account:
Log in to your Facebook Business Manager account.
Navigate to the Settings menu located at the top right.
From the left-hand menu, select Accounts > Ad Accounts.
On the Ad Accounts page, click the Add button and choose Create a new ad account.
Enter the required information such as ad account name, time zone, currency, and payment method.
After entering this data, you’ll be asked whether this account is for your own business or a client’s business. Choose accordingly.
Once completed, your ad account will be created. Don’t forget to grant access to yourself and other relevant people. If this step is skipped, the account may not appear in Ad Manager.
Even if you later freeze the ad account, it will remain associated with your business and count toward your ad account limit.
Please note: You can’t transfer the ad account to someone who doesn’t have a Business Manager.
How to Add People to Your Facebook Ad Account
If you want to share management of your ad account:
Log in to your Business Manager.
Go to Business Settings, find your ad account, and click Add People.
Select yourself and the other people you want to grant access to.
You can assign roles such as admin or limited access.
How to Find Your Facebook Ad Account
When you create a Facebook ad account, a unique account ID is generated. You’ll need this ID to access the account:
You can find it in the Ads Manager under account settings.
It also appears in the browser URL bar when youre inside Ads Manager.
Navigate to the account dropdown menu at the top of the page to locate your ad account ID.
What to Pay Attention To When Creating a Facebook Ad Account
Here are the most important considerations:
Always create your ad account through Business Manager for better control and scalability.
Enter all details accurately—especially name, currency, and payment method—to avoid future issues.

You may also assign other trusted team members as admins or contributors.
By carefully following these guidelines, you can ensure that your Facebook ad account functions smoothly and supports your marketing goals.
