What is Instagram Post Pinning?
Instagram constantly introduces new features for its users. With the latest update, you can now pin up to three posts or Reels videos at the top of your profile.
Pinned posts will always appear at the top of your profile as if they were recently shared.
To use the comment pinning feature, simply swipe left on the comment you want to pin under your post.
After swiping, a menu with three options will appear: delete, reply, and pin. Tap the pin icon to fix that comment at the top.
How to Pin a Comment on Instagram?
With this new feature, you can pin one of the comments under your posts to make it more visible. This way, the comment you choose will always stay at the top and be the first one other users see.
You can select one of your favorite comments among dozens on your photo or video and pin it. This ensures that the comment won’t get lost and remains highlighted.

Steps to Pin a Comment on Instagram:
- Go to the comments section under your post and tap “View All”.
- Press and hold the comment you want to pin, then swipe left.
- From the menu, tap the pushpin icon labeled “Pin”.
- The pinned comment will now appear at the very top, even above hundreds of other comments.
How Many Comments Can You Pin on Instagram?
As mentioned earlier, you can pin up to 3 comments under a single post. The most recent pinned comment will appear at the top, while the first one pinned will appear third in order.
How to Unpin a Comment?
You may want to remove a pinned comment over time or replace it with a new one. In this case, you can unpin the comment easily.
The process is similar to pinning: press and hold the comment, swipe left, and select the pin icon again to remove it.
Pinning Your Own Comment
You can also write your own comment under your post and then pin it. The steps are the same: press and hold your comment, swipe left, and select the pin icon. This way, you can highlight your own comment at the top of your post.
